Join us for a walk in nature along the riverside trail, where we learn to identify and gather edible wild plants. Along the way, we’ll craft playful crowns made from plants we find.
We also take time to visit the farm’s animals. The Forestree Farm is an organic farm with pigs, chickens, and sheep.
After our walk, we’ll come together around a cozy bonfire for a shared outdoor lunch. You’ll get to bake your own bread on a stick over the flames, served with homemade dips made from the herbs we foraged together.
You will learn about edible and medicinal wild plants that grow all around us. For example, if you get stung by nettles, which herbs can help relieve the pain?
This experience is open to all ages. If the kids aren’t walking yet, you need to feel comfortable carrying them for our walk — just note that the trail is not suitable for buggies.
Bring your child(ren), nieces or nephews, little friends, neighbors… everybody is welcome.
